Anthropometric Specific Features of Patients with Cancer of Prostate

Yu Klimov N

The article presents our own data on the results of anthropometry in 42 patients with prostate cancer, the average age is 69.3 ± 2.6 years. The most common somatotype is the gynaecomorphics. However, among the male population, mesomorphs predominate. Excess nutrition and obesity do not affect the risk of developing prostate cancer. Determination of patient somatotype by Rees-Eysenck index showed that men of pyknic type suffering from PC made up 41.5%, normosthenic type -39%, asthenic type - 19.5%. When comparing the frequency of patient somatotypes and men of the population there is a striking contrast.
