Predicament Of Classification: Multisystem Small Vessel Vasculitis With Cresentic Glomerulonephritis

Awad El-Magbri*, Shaukat Rashid and Balhinder Brar

The author presented a case of young man, with small vessel vasculitis involving mainly the kidney, lung, GIT and musculoskeletal systems. The author discusses the shortcoming of the current classification systems and proposed the use of ANCA serology for classification even though this classification has no bearing on the modality of treatment used in these cases. The treatment of the disease depends on the organ involved and the extent of the disease process.
